Yoga Basics and Props

When it comes to yoga, there are a few basics and props I like to include in my practice. From my favorite mat to blocks and bolsters, I can’t wait to share my usual props and how to implement them into your everyday practice.
While I do use these products regularly in my practice, this post includes affiliate links.

My Favorite Yoga Mat

Manduka eKO Superlite Yoga Mat is my favorite mat. I like to bring my mat along with me when I travel in the case I want to attend a class on the fly, or just want a space to meditate, workout, or do my own flow. This mat is foldable and easy to pack and bring along with me wherever I go. It fits in a suitcase or in a backpack.

Yoga Blocks

As I have grown in my yoga practice, I’ve realized I cannot do every asana. Yoga blocks have become integral to my personal practice. I love the cork style of these Trideer Yoga Blocks. These also come in a pack of two, which is great for different variations of forward folds.

Yoga Strap

I am in love with stretching with my strap. Some days when I don’t feel limber or I’m feeling limited in my movements, I will use my strap for an entire practice. This yoga strap is affordable and comes in a variety of lengths and colors. Adding this into your regular practice can help with mobility and lengthening.

Bolster Pillow

A bolster pillow has become a great addition to my practice, especially when I’m in savasana. I like to use the pillow to sit on for meditation and as I’m stretching out and cooling down at the end of my practice. This yoga bolster is a good size and density to keep you comfortable throughout your practice.

Whether you want to broaden your practice or need some assistance, these props are great resources. If you want to learn more about these products and how to use them, schedule a consultation with me. I can’t wait to work with you!
