Whether you’re a yoga novice or you’ve been attending the Saturday morning class at your local studio for years, a private yoga class can do wonders for you and your goals. You’re able to work with an experienced teacher who can create a personalized practice just for you.
You decide what you want out of the class, such as dealing with pain, learning more about the chakras, or working on advanced asanas. When you schedule your first session we can determine these goals to prepare.
However, the idea of a private yoga class can be intimidating to many people. Having all of the attention of an instructor on you can feel like a lot. Just remember, we want to make this an experience you want to come back to. Your comfort is always important to me and I want to create an atmosphere for you to achieve your goals.
What to Bring
I recommend bringing what you would normally bring to any yoga class. This can include:
- Yoga mat
- Blocks
- Towel
- Water bottle
Your private yoga class will have a similar set up to a group class. However, if you are doing the class virtually, use your usual supplies and I will work with you in advance if any other props are needed.
What to Wear
Wear whatever you’d normally wear to a yoga class. Yoga pants and a t-shirt or whatever you are comfortable in will work. We won’t be diving into anything too intense for your first session.
Again, if you are a virtual client, please feel free to wear what is comfortable.
What to Expect
For your first class we will primarily be going over your experience and goals, basic poses, and a short meditation. This first class will help us determine what you’re comfortable with and how you prefer a yoga class to go.
Above all, remember that this class is for you. You will get out of it what you put into it. It is always my intention to give you a class that will challenge you and teach you something new. Yoga is about doing good for yourself, others, and the world.
